San Juan Island STYLE

How many times have you heard people say “I didn’t know that was available here,” or “where can I find ??????”  The Style is being created as an opportunity for businesses to showcase the variety of merchandise available on San Juan Island. 

 

This new event will start with a Business Showcase where samples and demonstrations will be provided by restaurants, caterers, vintners, spas, etc.  There will also be a Silent Auction to tempt you with all kinds of products available on San Juan Island.

 

The evening will conclude with a Runway Show including fashions that will be the envy of any eye!  You will even see “Vanna” walking the runway with wonderful pieces of art or spectacular products available in our local stores.

 

The Port of Friday Harbor Clock Dock will be the venue for the event.  The Business Showcase will be at the end of the pier with VIP seating along the runway on the pier.  The Clock Dock Building will provide the changing area for the models, with the windows papered off, of course.  And since we are taking our chances for a sunny day in Washington in October, we have a standby location at 123 West Street so we can enjoy the event without the interruption of rain!

 

Tickets for the event will be $10 for General Admission or $20 for a Runway Pass which includes VIP seating on the runway and 2 wine tickets.

San Juan Island

The San Juan Islands are accessible to the public by water and air. The most common means of travel is by Washington State Ferry. See our directions page (click here) for more information.

On the east side of San Juan Island is the town of Friday Harbor, also the San Juan County Seat. Friday Harbor, a historic seaport, rises from the ferry landing and public marina where it is an easy stroll to the town's docks, parks, restaurants, shops, galleries, lodging facilities and business district.

On the north end of San Juan Island is another port of entry known as Roche Harbor Village. It is listed on the National Register of Historical Sites and is approximately ten miles from Friday Harbor.  Roche Harbor has beautiful Victorian gardens, an airstrip, marina, lodging, grocery store, restaurants, sculpture park, shopping, water activities and local artists booths.

While visiting San Juan Island be sure to make a trip to one of our many beaches, hiking trails and great parks. For a complete list of parks click here.
